Naydee Polanco
Producer/Remixer/DJ
Dy-Nas-D Productions

Bio
The year was 1987 and the
location was Jumel Place NYC. The DJ scratches and
cuts in “The Bridge is over” by KRS ONE and sends
the crowd into a frenzy with a roar and intensity
that’s just about at riot status. The place is
buzzing and everyone is asking “ “Who’s the DJ”?
You try looking up at the DJ booth but all you see
is a little head covered by headphones bopping to
the beat, immersed in crates of records and DJ
equipment. That was Naydee at fourteen years old.
A young urban electronic virtuoso if you may. But
it didn’t begin there. It began when he was ten
under the tutelage of his mentor Steve Mussenden
“like an order Brother/Best Friend” along with the
modest beginnings of what is now known as Dy-Nas-D
Productions, then just a patchwork of DJ’s and
entrepreneurs, making their way doing events and
playing clubs in New York.
Born to Dominican parents here
in the United States, Naydee commonly found
himself at the crossroads of his two cultures as
well as various states mainly New York and
Connecticut. Merging all these elements
undoubtedly influenced his music as well as his
mind in being open to working with different
people, celebrating their differences of culture
thru music. This skill served as one of the
hallmarks of Dy-Nas-D studios, “his own
enterprise” which has been his foundation since
leaving the security of his high paying computer
job at Viacom. While he honed his computer skills
at Viacom he worked tirelessly toward the
financing and building of his own studio, never
taking his eye off the proverbial prize of being
able to pursue music exclusively someday. Someday
has come and gone bringing with it a wealth of
experience and opportunity in the music industry
such as: remixes for popular acts like Boyz to
Men, Rosie Gaines, Le Clic, over 40 theme songs
for MTV and VH1 and a soundtrack for a movie
titled “Home Invaders” to be released in the near
future. To go along with these credentials, Naydee
has always continued to produce his own music to
the tune of about 300 tracks (some of which have
been released on independent labels) in various
arenas of music including but not limited to Hip
Hop, House, Pop, and Reggae. He has honed his
craft and is now looking to take his talent and
vision to the next level.

Latest Work

This album can only be described as a breath of
fresh air for Hip-Hop. It covers many areas
(Soulful, Club Bangers, R&B Colabos, and
conscience songs). Allot of time and energy has
gone into keeping the integrity of this project
intact. Knocking beats, Head bopping grooves
and carefully crafted lyrics are all what you can
expect from "Beautiful Mind".
